It was a time in the world, when people would die of shame. They did not have to commit suicide, just simply died for talking stupid in public...

This is the country where until about thirty or forty years ago, women were not even allowed in the OBGYN section of the Medical School...
I remember back in 1979, in Milwaukee there were only two female OBGYN doctors... One of them was from India, the other one was a researcher...
A hundred years from now, the people of the future will be hard pressed to believe the madness we are living in today.
Atkins should probably be kept in formaldehyde, for future generations to see how a Neanderthal from the twenty first century looked like!
And add that we need to teach this in schools so that no stupid thing like jumping up and down afterwards will prevent pregnancy.

One can either help or discourage the odds by doing certain things, like the ovulation cycle, use birth control, etc.
And I though our politicians were deluded!
We are a different breed of people here...
A few years ago, a guy raped a prostitute setting his knife in her throat. She told him that she had AIDS. Yet he insisted in doing it. He ended up in jail for rape. In jail he discovered that he got infected. You know what he did? He sued her for infecting him... Of course the judge laughed in his face...
On the other hand, Akins was probably voted in office because of his beliefs on the matter.
In Michigan for instance, we are trying to legislate women reproductive system, yet the legislators are getting up on their arms, when a person talks about parts of what they are legislating... Here Here
Your politicians are deluded, our, unfortunately, support deluded ideas pushed by a deluded constituency!

...NOW, the GOP senatorial funds, and the "common cause" pac headed by Karl Rove have pulled out their funding, and his campaign alone will fund from September on his campaign commercials, while, Claire McCaskill has the backing of all Democratic funding sources.
Claire is the one who started to kick butt concerning Arlington cemetery mis-placing our fallen hero's in the wrong graves.
