Heart Shaped Wreath

So, I saw a wreath on Pinterest made out of coffee filters.  It was a christmas wreath, and I meant to make one for my door.  However, christams is a CRAZY time of year for me since I work retail so I never got around to making it.

But, I didn't want to give up on the idea, so I took the coffee filter premise and thought, "I bet I can do something for valentines day."

First I was just going to leave the fliters white, and put red flowers and a bow in it for valentines, but I decided to get a little more "fancy" than that.

This is what I ended up with, and the whole thing cost about $2:

Wow, that is just gorgeous..........you did a really good job on it! How long did it take you to make it? Looks like it would be a lot of fun to make........IF I can ever find enough "free" time, that is.....LOL!!!!!!

Thank you. I worked on it off an on for 3 days. The thing that takes the LONGEST is for the coffee filters to dry after you dye them. I guess maybe somewhere between 3 and 4 hours of actual hands on working time.

I love pinterest too, but get frustrated because I can't afford to do some of the awesome projects I see there. I'm very happy with this one.

We've actually had a small christmas wreath hanging on the door for about 2 years straight now. We put it up one year and never took it down again. So this is a refreshing change. lol
