Staples Rewards Program

Staples Rewards is a program that gives you back a $2.00 credit when you recycle your ink cartridges. You get a store card which you show the sales clerk when you make a purchase or recycle cartridges. Occasionally you will get credit for some purchases from Staples too. You are notified of those specials by email. You get the credits back in an email coupon either once a month or once a quarter, depending on how much you buy at the store during the previous year. I usually get it once a quarter, but two years ago I bought a new laptop, which boosted me up to the level to get it once a month during 2011. During 2012 I went back to getting it once a quarter. I bought a new laptop at the end of 2012, so I hope that boosts me up to get it once a month for 2013. I usually use the credits towards more ink but I have also put it towards Christmas gifts. Last summer I put it towards a jumbo pack of paper towels, and I haven't had to buy paper towels now for several months. The store card is free. All you have to do is go to the store, fill out a form, and give it to a sales clerk.
