Moving Day Tomorrow!

Hey, thanks, Marsha for sending all the lousy snow here to our area....we were NOT supposed to get any......this morning when I left to take the kid to work, there was all this white stuff, the wind was blowing incessantly, and I could barely see 50 feet ahead of me.....right then and there, I should have come back in the house and woke hubby up, as he can drive in such crap.....I tried and it was a nightmare......my dumb little car turned almost half a doughnut, and I was all over part of one road, but everyone else around kept a good distance.......I was shaking so badly, I told the kid I was NOT going any further and was going back home, wake hubby up, and he'd take the kid.......I was almost physically ill once I got home; it was foggy, the wind was howling and very dangerous conditions. We got 6 lousy inches of the crud.
I have decided one thing for sure....when I get this "piece of tin" paid off, I'm getting rid of it and getting a much heavier vehicle........this "new" car is NOT winter driving material.....I learned that very quickly this morning.....I was so thankful to get home. It took hubby over 30 minutes to get him to work. Later today, we went out driving around and I had to go to Target to get a new watch with my $50 Paypal I got from Swagbucks......took my camera along and got some neat pictures from the car.....of the snow covered trees, but then there are "rain drops" on the car windows....some very neat "effects" on the pictures....I'll try to post some tomorrow.
Hope you don't have to get out much in the stuff and that you're a good winter driver! Tonight I heard there's another storm coming in next Sunday/Monday......ughhhh!

Yes, I can not stand driving on the snow, slush or ice!
We took the back 3 seats out of the van on Sunday preparing to load up with my daughter's belongings. I went to work yesterday morning, and despite the van still being heavy, without those heavy back seats in, I found myself fishtailing a few times. It was scary.

Well, snow isn't bad, if there isn't much of it.......it's the ice that's the very worst, and we seemed to have plenty of that.......the thing that upset me was that we were NOT supposed to have a storm but just an inch or so of the white stuff...yeah, right......it turned into a horrendous storm. There's nothing worse than losing control of a vehicle on the street......ughhhhh! I am still mad at myself for getting this darn car........I had no idea that it would be such a bad vehicle for winter driving.....my old Escort Sports SE could go through anything and everything.....it was the best winter car I've ever had. As soon as I get this "pile of tin" paid off, I'm going to start looking for a new, heavier car......I can't put up with this another winter.
Hope you won't have to be out long tomorrow.....I've heard it's going to be really bad in the early morning hours. I am NOT leaving the house!

Moving is hard, as we did it not long ago. It does help go through boxes in the garage and get rid of items. I'm always glad to reduce and help somebody else.
